We have gotten many complaints and have been asked many times what is the town doing about excess vehicles, appliances, and misc debris on properties within the town. No board likes to get involved in residents· personal property but it has become an issue that can no longer be ignored. The Ordinance reads that ·allowing an accumulation of debris, unused appliances, or more than two (2) unlicensed abandoned vehicles, can be declared a public nuisance affecting health.· Junk dealers are paying for scrap metal and now is the time to get rid of as many of these excess vehicles, etc. as possible. This notice is a start, but after 30 days, if some of the excessive accumulations are not removed, the town will be sending out individual letters requesting cleanup. If that still does not solve the issue, the town will need to proceed with the enforcement and abatement process described in the Ordinance. Please help with this effort to clean up our town. Thank You. Town
