JOINT RESOLUTION BETWEEN THE TOWN OF WASCOTT, DOUGLAS COUNTY AND TOWN
OF MINONG,
WASHBURN COUNTY. RESOLUTION __#23_____ TOWN OF WASCOTT RESOLUTION #2000-03 TOWN OF MINONG RESOLUTION #2000-01 WHEREAS, the Towns of Wascott, Douglas County, and Minong, Washburn County, share two roads on the town boundary lines, namely, 1) Little Sand Lake Road and 2) Ernie Swift Road, AKA East Flowage Road and Eagle Point Road, with each Town receiving State highway aids covering one-half of the distance of each boundary road, AND WHEREAS, the two Towns wish to clearly assign to each Town the specific portions of each road to be maintained by each of them, the State Department of Transportation has apportioned these roads as follows: 1) Little Sand Lake Road, starting from S. Flowage Road/Island View Road, and proceeding west: Wascott: the first 1.24 miles Minong: the next 1.24 miles Wascott: the next 1.05 miles, this portion being totally within Wascott Wascott: the next .78 miles Minong: the next .78 miles, up to Town Line Road/County Line Road 2) Ernie Swift Road/East Flowage Road/Eagle Point Road, starting from Smith Bridge Road, and proceeding west: Wascott: the first .48 miles Minong: the next .48 miles, up to where the road turns directly north; after that point, Eagle Point Road is totally within Wascott. THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed by both parties that the segments of these roads should be maintained as follows: 1) Little Sand Lake Road, starting from S. Flowage Road and proceeding west: Minong: will maintain the first 2 miles Wascott: will maintain the balance of the road up to Town Line Road/County Line Road 2) Ernie Swift Road/East Flowage Road/Eagle Point Road, starting from Smith Bridge Road, proceeding west: Wascott: the first .48 miles Minong: the next .48 miles, up to where the road turns directly north; after that point, Eagle Point Road is totally within Wascott.
